SHO Steel Town Aslam Baloch confirmed that the murders were driven by “honor.” The couple had married on their own terms 7–8 years ago and had been living in that house for the past 8 months. Abdul Majeed worked as a laborer.

In a shocking detail, Sakina’s brother reportedly informed Abdul Majeed’s brother after the murder, telling him to come collect the bodies and arrange for the funeral.

Two axes and other evidence have been recovered from the crime scene. Police have launched a murder investigation and are actively searching for the suspects.
