
According to officials, a flood surge of around 350,000 cusecs is expected from India, raising concerns of severe Chenab River flood. Water levels in the Chenab have already risen by more than 100 percent within a single day.
Flood relief camps have been established to assist affected families, while water inflows at Head Qadirabad in Hafizabad are also increasing steadily.

2,800 people have been evacuated to safer places. The water level in the Sutlej River continues to rise in Bahawalpur and Bahawalnagar, which has submerged many more villages.

It should be noted that after India released water, a further increase in the flow has been recorded at Ganda Singhwala in the Sutlej River.
