The properties declared for auction are Bahria Town s corporate office, Arena Cinema, Safari Club, Rubaish Marquee, Bahria International Academy in Rawalpindi, and one property in Islamabad.
The following properties are being auctioned:
• Bahria Town Corporate Office (Plot No. 7-D and 7-E, Park Road, Phase II, Rawalpindi)
• Rubaish Marquee and Lawn (Bahria Garden City, near Golf Course, Islamabad)
• Arena Cinema (Plot No. 984-Broad-A, Phase IV, Rawalpindi)
• Bahria Town International Academy (Jasmine Street & Silver Oaks Road, Zero Villas I, Rawalpindi)

NAB has made this decision in an attempt to recover money from a defaulted plea bargain deal in the £190 million Al Qadir Trust case.

Notably, Bahria Town had blocked a previous auction effort in June when it claimed it was not a party to the case. But on August 5, the court rejected four petitions, paving the way for the auction.
The action, as per NAB, is taken to probe allegations of mass fraud, illegal purchases of land, and money laundering, and for claims that the money was siphoned to Malik Riaz s Dubai-based projects.
Malik Riaz, who is in Dubai and under a non-bailable warrant in the UK case, has several non-bailable arrest warrants issued against him along with his son Ali Ahmed Malik and other acquaintances. NAB has already frozen his numerous bank accounts, confiscated luxury cars and shut down several properties in Karachi, Lahore and other cities.
