Quetta (Web Desk): Train services in Balochistan have been suspended amid serious security concerns, disrupting passenger and freight movement across the province.

Railway officials confirmed that all train services in Balochistan were halted due to the worsening security situation. The decision was taken as a precaution to protect passengers and railway staff.

Several major trains departing from Quetta were cancelled. These include the Jaffar Express, Bolan Mail, and the Chaman Passenger, all of which were scheduled to operate on Saturday.

Officials also said that the freight train running between Quetta and Zahedan in Iran has been suspended until further notice.

In addition, a passenger train travelling from Peshawar to Quetta was stopped at Jacobabad as a safety measure, according to railway authorities.

Railway officials said the suspension was unavoidable and directly linked to the prevailing law and order situation in the province.

Meanwhile, security forces successfully foiled 12 coordinated attacks carried out by Fitna Al Hindustan across different areas of Balochistan, according to security sources.

The attacks took place at 12 locations on Friday night and early Saturday. Security forces and law enforcement agencies responded swiftly and prevented major damage.
