In a statement, the military’s media wing said the first operation was carried out in Mohmand district on reports of the presence of Indian proxy Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists. During the operation, troops engaged the hideout, and seven terrorists were killed after a heavy exchange of fire.
ISPR said a second intelligence-based operation was conducted in Bannu district, where security forces neutralized six more terrorists. The operations were carried out based on confirmed intelligence inputs.
The military said sanitization operations are continuing in both areas to eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored kharji terrorists and to ensure the region is fully cleared.
These actions are part of the ongoing ‘Azm-e-Istehkam’ campaign, approved by the federal apex committee under the National Action Plan (NAP) to counter terrorism across the country.
