LAHORE (Web Desk): Pakistan has put security on high alert in Punjab and Karachi after launching the ‘Ghazab Lil Haq’ operation in response to unprovoked attacks by Afghan Taliban along the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa border.

Inspector General Punjab Rao Abdul Kareem has ordered strict security measures, especially during Friday prayers. Punjab Police are closely monitoring internal borders and keeping a watch on terrorists and suspicious individuals. Officers are coordinating closely with the armed forces and other security agencies.

Security has been tightened at mosques, embassies, police check posts, and other sensitive installations. Search and combing operations continue to prevent potential threats.

In Karachi, DIG East Farukh directed all officers to remain alert. Key buildings and sensitive locations are under tight security, while snap checks and road blockades monitor suspicious activities. The DIG assured that the police are fully prepared to handle any internal unrest.
