Pakistan strongly condemned the “unwarranted attacks” on Iran and called for an immediate stop to the rising tensions. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to review the evolving crisis in Iran and the wider region.
During the call, Ishaq Dar stressed the urgent need to resume diplomatic talks and find a peaceful, negotiated solution to prevent further escalation.
The US and Israel launched major strikes on Iran, aiming to destroy its missile arsenal and prevent nuclear development, escalating hostilities in the Middle East. Iran retaliated by firing missiles targeting Gulf states and Israel.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard said the strikes targeted US assets in Bahrain, other Gulf locations, and sites in Israel. Explosions and air defense activity were reported in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, Israel, and Iraq. Several Gulf nations, including Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, and Jordan, intercepted incoming missiles. In Abu Dhabi, one person was reported killed.
In Iran, a missile strike on a school killed 24 people. Israeli search and rescue teams were deployed after reports of fallen projectiles. Tehran saw smoke rising over Pasteur district, home to Iranian leaders, with heavy security deployed. Iranian state media confirmed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian were safe.
