A total of 116 flights from Pakistan to Gulf and Middle East destinations were canceled on the day due to ongoing regional airspace restrictions and security concerns.
The cancellations mainly affected flights to United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar.
Authorities said the decision was taken in response to evolving geopolitical tensions involving regional military strikes and airspace safety risks.
Flight Cancellations at Major Pakistani Airports
The cancellations were reported across several major airports in Pakistan.
At Jinnah International Airport Karachi, 32 flights to destinations including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Sharjah, Kuwait, and Bahrain were suspended.
At Islamabad International Airport, 28 flights bound for Gulf cities including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Sharjah were canceled.
At Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore, 20 flights to Gulf destinations were suspended.
From Multan International Airport, 10 flights to Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Bahrain, Doha, and Kuwait were canceled.
Additionally, 4 flights from Faisalabad International Airport and 2 flights from Quetta International Airport were also suspended.
