(Web Desk): Nearly 200 militants were killed in three days as security forces launched large-scale anti-terror operations across Balochistan, sacrificing 22 personnel in the line of duty.

Pakistan’s security forces have killed 197 militants belonging to the banned group “Fitnaul Hindustan” during intense anti-terror operations carried out over the past three days, according to security sources.

The sources said the operations were launched after a series of coordinated militant attacks targeting both civilians and security personnel in different parts of Balochistan. Follow-up and sanitisation operations are still underway in several areas to track down remaining militants and eliminate any residual threats.

During the operations, 22 personnel from Pakistan’s security forces, including the Army, Frontier Corps (FC), Police and the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA), embraced martyrdom while defending the country and its people. The fallen personnel were praised for their bravery and sacrifice, with officials reiterating the nation’s resolve to defeat terrorism at all costs.

The militants’ attacks also claimed the lives of 36 innocent civilians, including women, children and local Baloch residents. Security officials described the attacks as brutal and indiscriminate, aimed at creating fear and disrupting peace in the province.

Security forces have cordoned off affected areas and are continuing intelligence-based operations to restore normalcy and ensure the safety of residents. Additional troops have been deployed, while checkpoints and patrols have been strengthened to prevent further violence.

The sources stressed that Pakistan’s security forces remain fully committed to eradicating terrorism from Balochistan and safeguarding national stability. They added that operations will continue until the area is completely cleared and peace is fully restored.
