
The Jaffar Express, which left Peshawar yesterday, arrived in Quetta with over 200 passengers in nine coaches. The train will now depart from Quetta for Peshawar today and reach its destination tomorrow evening.
Railway officials confirmed that full security measures were in place during the journey and at railway stations.
They also announced that a special Eid train with nine coaches will depart from Quetta at 10 AM tomorrow, carrying 400 passengers to Peshawar. The Jaffar Express will travel through Sukkur, Lahore, and Rawalpindi before reaching Peshawar.
Passengers expressed happiness over the resumption of train service, saying it allowed them to celebrate Eid with their loved ones. They also appreciated the strict security arrangements.
Yesterday, Federal Minister Ameer Muqam and railway officials flagged off the Jaffar Express from Peshawar. After a 34-hour journey through Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan, it finally reached Quetta. This train is unique as it passes through all four provinces of Pakistan.
