ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced a new digital facility for citizens across Pakistan.

The citizens can now complete their biometric verification to sell and purchase Islamabad registered vehicles by using the Pak ID mobile application.

This move shifts the process from physical verification to online verification. Earlier, a citizen had to visit the NADRA office and wait in a queue for his or her turn for hours for biometric verification.

The new system enables citizens to conduct biometric checks from their homes and then attend to the remaining formalities of the transfer at the concerned government office.

Earlier, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) requested all residents to erase computerized national identity cards (CNICs) for dead family members.

In an alert, the authority asked residents to visit their local facility or use the Pak ID mobile app to update their family records.

Even though 7 million deaths were registered in union councils in March 2025, their ID cards were not deleted according to NADRA statistics.
