PTI deserved reserved seats, says Jamaat-e-Islami chief
LAHORE (Web Desk): Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman has strongly criticized the government and the Election Commission, stating that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had the right to reserved seats, but it was taken away from them.

Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman stated at the press conference in Lahore that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) illegitimately seized won seats through fraudulent means and that they did rigging in the local body elections. He claimed that a mayor was imposed in Karachi through a fake mandate, which goes against democratic values.

He further stated, “I was declared successful but returned the seat because I knew I had lost by a few votes. Real politics is about standing by principles.”

Hafiz Naeem said that in the general elections, Jamaat-e-Islami was not given the seats it had actually won, which he called a prime example of political dishonesty.

He further said that all political parties unite when it comes to increasing their own salaries but no one raises their voice when it comes to the rights of the public.

He expressed that the war crimes and cruelty committed in Palestine by Israel are mirrored by India in Kashmir, yet the international community remains a silent spectator in both cases.
