Winter vacations schedule for all the educational institutions has been announced. Ministry of education has published a full schedule for public and private school holidays.

In accordance with ministry, winter holidays in Pakistan have been scheduled after reviewing weather patterns and the intensity of cold in different regions. The schedule will apply equally to government and private institutions.

Closure of schools in Balochistan

In Balochistan the schools in in colder districts will remain closed for two and a half month starting December 16 due to intense weather conditions. These extended holidays are ranted every year to protect students from extreme temperatures.

Closure of schools in Punjab

In Punjab, winter vacations will begin on December 23, 2025, and continue until January 11, 2026. Schools across the province will reopen on January 13, marking the beginning of the new academic session on the same day.

The decision comes as Punjab has recently experienced spike in smog and is expected experience an even more dangerous spike.

Parents and school administrations have been advised to finalize their plans according to the newly issued schedule to ensure smooth academic continuity and better protection of students during the cold wave.
