The University of Health Sciences (UHS) introduced the new medical curriculum, rolling out the MBBS Modular Integrated Curriculum 2023 and BDS Integrated Curriculum 2025 in all public and private medical and dental colleges.
Punjab Specialized Healthcare Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique formally launched the new medical curriculum for MBBS and BDS students at UHS Lahore, making it available on the university’s official website.
UHS Vice Chancellor Prof Ahsan Waheed Rathore said the new medical curriculum emphasizes clerkship-based learning to improve clinical skills and overall education quality.
Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Nadia Naseem added that the MBBS program was developed over three years with input from nearly 700 faculty members.
Officials noted that the new medical curriculum meets national and international standards, focusing on integrated learning, professionalism, early clinical exposure, and hands-on patient care.

Students will now gain practical experience from the first year, preparing them for modern healthcare challenges.
