Norway offers free education in its public universities. International students have been able to study without tuition fees, although from 2026, the Ministry of Education has directed universities to begin collecting tuition from students outside the EU and EEA.
A large number of universities and colleges in Norway offer programs in English. Admission requirements and deadlines vary by institution, but most universities accept online applications directly through their portals. Admissions have started and will continue until December 1, 2025, for most universities.

Students from countries such as Pakistan, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zimbabwe, and others may also qualify based on their national school certificates that include English in the curriculum.
Pakistani students planning to apply for Norway’s 2026 intake are advised to review university-specific details early and prepare financial and academic documents well before the deadline.
