According to the university spokesperson, the exams were delayed keeping in view the difficulties faced by students. The new exam schedule will be announced shortly.
It is worth noting that just a day earlier, the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) also postponed exams scheduled for August 30 and 31. These included tests for Inspector Legal in Punjab Police and other departments.
A PPSC spokesperson confirmed that 434 posts were to be filled through these exams in Lahore, with more than 8,000 candidates registered from across Punjab. The exams have been postponed to ensure student safety and convenience amid the floods.
Meanwhile, in flood-hit areas of Lahore Division, colleges were also ordered to remain closed on August 29 and 30. Colleges in Shahdara, Chuhang, and Band Road areas will remain shut, with directives to cut off electricity supply for safety.
