LAHORE (Web Desk): The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has announced the first-year Pre-Engineering result for 2025.

According to official data, only 45% of students passed the exam, marking a worrying decline in performance. Out of 19,433 registered candidates, 19,023 appeared, and only 8,569 students passed all six papers, while majority of students fail.

Students can check their detailed results online via the official BIEK website: https://www.biek.edu.pk/results.asp

Examination Supervisor Zarina Rashid confirmed the low pass percentage, saying only a small number of candidates were able to clear all subjects successfully. She emphasized the need for better preparation and more academic support for students in future sessions.

The 2025 Pre-Engineering first-year results released by BIEK paint a concerning picture, with less than half of the students passing. A total of 8,569 out of over 19,000 students cleared all exams, showing a 45% pass rate. This result has sparked concerns about academic readiness, exam pressure, and the overall quality of science education. Authorities may need to investigate root causes and implement reforms to improve future outcomes.
