
The long-term residency visa will now be granted to exceptional teachers, principals, education leaders, and academic heads who have shown excellence in teaching, innovation, and community service.
According to Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), the move aims to honor educators who do more than teach—they inspire, innovate, and raise education standards across the city.
Who Is Eligible?
· Principals & Managers: Must have a Master’s or PhD and lead a school rated “Good” or higher. They must show leadership, community work, and innovation.
· Teachers & Faculty: Should hold certified teaching qualifications, show student success, have won awards, or contributed to the community.
· Academic Heads & Deans: Need a PhD or similar, plus research publications or academic innovations that improve learning.
How to Apply:
· Schools can nominate eligible educators.
· Required documents include inspection reports, award certificates, community feedback, and board nomination letters.
· A committee will assess applications, and KHDA will approve them with other Dubai authorities.
An education official said, “This initiative is about recognizing teachers as key builders of our knowledge-based economy.”
