As per official sources, Maryam Nawaz has also approved the Punjab School Reorganisation Programme under which the first public sector Montessori programme will be launched in the province.
A target has also been set to build and rehabilitate 1,000 grounds of government schools across the province in six months.
Moreover, the education authorities have been directed to start weekly and monthly competitions in public schools. The pilot project titled “CM Punjab School Nutrition Programme” will start in August in Rajanpur, Layyah, and Bhakkar.

A comprehensive mapping of schools across Punjab has been directed to determine the required facilities and needs.
The Green School Programme has also been approved under which every student will plant at least one sapling and digital mapping will be carried out.
Proposals to introduce Spoken English and character-building classes in government schools have also been considered.
The Punjab chief minister has also directed the rehabilitation of 603 inactive schools. Making e-transfer easy and feasible for teachers and introducing 12 new technology courses at the matriculation level have also been considered.
It has also been agreed to make School Management Councils functional and effective.
Maryam Nawaz said in her statement that the system cannot be improved without accountability, adding lack of funds for education will not be allowed and an Early Childhood Education Center of Excellence will be established in each district.
