ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) In a major announcement that brings exciting opportunities for Pakistani youth, Hungary has offered 400 full scholarships to Pakistani students for higher education! This generous move comes as part of strengthened ties between the two countries.

In a joint press conference held at the Foreign Office in Islamabad, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Hungary’s Foreign and Trade Minister Péter Szijjártó signed several important agreements. These included a visa exemption for diplomatic passport holders and cooperation in culture, archaeology, trade, and diplomacy.

"Hungary has always been a positive and valuable friend to Pakistan," said Ishaq Dar. He emphasized that these agreements will boost cooperation in business and industry, and highlighted discussions on regional and global issues, including the situation in Gaza.

The Hungarian foreign minister also expressed his commitment to expanding collaboration in multiple sectors. The 400 scholarships are a part of Hungary’s initiative to support education and people-to-people ties with Pakistan.

Earlier, Péter Szijjártó was warmly received at the Foreign Office by Senator Ishaq Dar.

Meanwhile, addressing the UN Peacekeeping Ministerial Conference in Islamabad, Ishaq Dar stressed the threat of misinformation to global peace and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the UN Charter. Delegates from 157 countries attended the high-level meeting.
