(Web desk): The Karachi Intermediate Board has announced the Science General Group results with a 55.59% pass rate, crowning two students as joint toppers.

The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) released the much-anticipated results of the Intermediate Part-II (Science General Group) annual exams 2025.

This year, the spotlight shines equally on Maira Khan and Muhammad Haroon, who have been declared joint toppers. Both secured an impressive 988 marks out of 1100, earning them A-1 grades. Maira, daughter of Raja Khan Burdi, is a student of Government Degree Science and Commerce College, Malir Cantt, while Haroon, son of Muhammad Aslam, studies at Bahria College, Karsaz.

Trailing just behind, Muhammad Anas, also from Bahria College, clinched the second position with 986 marks, followed closely by Ayesha Yasin of the same institution, who earned 982 marks, securing third place.

According to Zarina Rashid, Controller of Examinations, a total of 16,842 students were registered, and 16,549 appeared in the exams. Out of these, 9,199 students passed, marking an overall pass percentage of 55.59%.

The grade distribution reflected a range of performances:

  • A-1 Grade: 514 students
  • A Grade: 1,590 students
  • B Grade: 2,832 students
  • C Grade: 2,895 students
  • D Grade: 1,327 students
  • E Grade: 36 students
  • Pass (barely): 5 students

The official results are now available on BIEK’s website www.biek.edu.pk, and students can also check their marks via the BIEK Android app, downloadable from the Google Play Store.

Chairman Faqir Muhammad Lakho congratulated the successful candidates and shared that a special ceremony will be held to celebrate the achievements of the position holders once results for all groups are finalized. He also extended his appreciation to parents and teachers, acknowledging their critical role in students’ success.
