According to the notification issued by the Office of the Registrar, the university will remain closed from Friday, 20th March 2026 to Monday, 23rd March 2026 on account of Eid ul Fitr 2026 holidays.
Following the festival break, all teaching departments, institutes, centers, constituent colleges, and schools under the university will observe the Spring Recess from Tuesday, 24th March 2026 to Friday, 27th March 2026.
University will open for all the students and teaching departments for academic activities on Monday, 30th March 2026.
Administrative staff, including those in teaching departments, institutes, centers, and constituent colleges, are required to remain on duty as usual after the Eid ul Fitr 2026 holidays, effective 24th March 2026, the notification stated.
The notification, signed by Dr. Ahmad Islam, Registrar, has been forwarded to deans, principals, directors, chairpersons, and other university officials to ensure smooth communication of the holiday.

The schedule has been shared across all departments and campuses, including Gujranwala, Jhelum, and Pothowar campuses, as well as Punjab University Model High School for Girls and the Child Welfare Centre.
