A Red Notice is a request to law enforcement worldwide to locate and provisionally arrest a person pending extradition, surrender, or similar legal action. It is based on an arrest warrant or court order issued by the judicial authorities in the requesting country. Member countries apply their own laws in deciding whether to arrest a person.

Red Notices are published by INTERPOL at the request of a member country, and must comply with INTERPOL’s Constitution and Rules.

According to DIG Organized Crime Imran Kishor, the police team constituted to leave for Dubai to arrest Teefi Butt has been stopped at present as accused Teefi Butt has gone to London from Dubai and the police got evidence in this respect.

After Balaj's murder, Teefi Butt moved from Lahore to Islamabad, then to Dubai and two weeks later to London.

According to police sources, along with the travel history, the police also found evidence of Teefi Butt's presence in London.

Earlier, the police investigation revealed that two days before the murder of Ameer Balaj, Ahsan Shah met Teefi Butt at his house in Naseerabad.

After the murder, the accused was in contact with Ahsan Shah to get Musab Balaj killed.

Police sources said that after killing Ameer Balaj, Musab Balaj was to be killed by the shooters. Two days after the burial of Ameer Balaj, Ahsan Shah had called Musab Balaj to his house to meet him alone.
