Ducky Bhai was presented before a local court in Lahore by cybercrime officials after his arrest. The prosecution requested a 12-day physical remand, but the court dismissed the plea and approved only a four-day remand.
He had been taken into custody a day earlier at Allama Iqbal International Airport. Officials said multiple complaints had been received against him, leading to an investigation by the cybercrime agency.
Meanwhile, the National Cyber Crime Agency declared gambling and casino-related apps illegal across Pakistan. According to an official statement, as many as 46 applications were found unlawful, including unregulated forex trading platforms.
The agency also revealed that some of these apps were collecting citizens’ personal data and mobile numbers, posing security risks. At the agency’s request, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) will block all the apps listed as illegal.
The arrest of a high-profile influencer like Ducky Bhai has put the spotlight on Pakistan’s crackdown against illegal online platforms. While the court limited his remand to four days, the investigation suggests authorities are tightening their grip on gambling and unregulated forex apps.

With 46 applications declared illegal, the move shows growing concern over digital fraud, money laundering, and data theft linked to online gambling platforms. For social media influencers, this case also raises questions about their role in promoting or linking with such activities.
The involvement of PTA to block these apps highlights the seriousness of the state’s action, but the crackdown may also impact thousands of users engaged in unregulated forex and gambling activities.
