However, Urfi’s win sparked immense criticism online. Many fans expressed that Puuv Jha and Apruva Singh, two strong contenders eliminated earlier, were more deserving of the win. Critics argued that Urfi’s win was given more screen time showcasing her strategy, leading to the overshadowing of other players’ strategic moves.
One user expressed their discontent with the show’s final outcome and said, “Puuv and Apruva played way smarter, this win feels unfair.”
Another blamed Urfi for taking Puuv Jha and Apruva Singh’s win, saying, “Urfi got all the screen time, but she wasn’t the best player.”
“The producers clearly pushed Urfi to stir controversy and boost ratings,” another viewer wrote, suggesting Urfi was used as a tactical tool to drive views.
However, many others defended Urfi’s gameplay and praised her for sharing the prize with Nikita. One fan tweeted, “Urfi’s generosity in giving part of her winnings to Nikita shows her true character.” Another said, “Love her or hate her, Urfi played the game hard and smart.”
Urfi addressed the backlash in a recent interview, saying, “Reality TV is edited to tell a story, but my moves and emotions were real. I respect all the players and believe every contestant contributed to this incredible journey. Sharing my prize with Nikita was a heartfelt decision reflecting our bond.”
Nikita Gandhi was praised for her calm, strategic approach, earning her a loyal fanbase.
The Traitors India continues to spark passionate criticism online over fairness and reality TV drama, maintaining its status as a captivating show in 2025.
