Speaking at an event, DIG Traffic Peer Muhammad Shah announced that a third method for issuing electronic challans will soon be introduced. This time through robots.
He said the robotic vehicles will monitor areas near shopping malls, departmental stores, and busy roads, issuing instant challans through the system.

According to the DIG, the initiative will begin next week and is expected to improve transparency and accuracy in traffic enforcement.
He further added that from next month, “No Parking” and “No Two-Lane” signboards will also be installed across key roads such as Saddar and Tariq Road. The robotic vehicles will operate at a controlled speed of around 20 kilometers per hour while monitoring traffic violations.
