In a groundbreaking move, a young Pakistani named Muhammad Subhan has turned a regular 1000cc manual car into a vehicle that can be driven entirely using a smartphone app.
Subhan shared details of his invention, where he explained how the car connects to a mobile app available on the Google Play Store. Using this app, drivers can control steering, brakes, accelerator, and clutch all the basic functions of a car.
“I made this kit in just three months,” Subhan said. “You can control everything from your phone.”
Right now, the car is still in its early stage and does not include sensors, which means it’s mostly useful for parking and simple driving. Subhan’s goal is to help specially-abled people drive using only their hands.

Though the clutch is phone-operated, gear shifting still has to be done manually. Once the clutch is released through the phone, the car continues moving.
Another cool feature is that the car can still be driven manually. With the press of a button, it switches between manual and smartphone mode.
