(Web Desk): TikTok removed nearly 25 million videos in Pakistan in early 2025 over guideline violations, ranking the country among the highest for content take downs globally.

In the first three months of 2025, TikTok removed nearly 25 million videos from users in Pakistan, according to data published in its Q1 Community guidelines enforcement report.
According to the report, TikTok removed a total of 24,954,128 videos in Pakistan for violating its community guidelines during the first quarter of 2025. The platform maintained a high proactive removal rate of 99.4%, with 95.8% of flagged videos taken down within 24 hours of posting.
During the same period, TikTok removed approximately 211 million videos globally, which represents about 0.9% of all content uploaded to the platform. More than 184 million of these videos were detected and removed automatically, while over 7.5 million were reinstated after human review. TikTok maintained a global proactive removal rate of 99.0%, with 94.3% of flagged videos taken down within 24 hours.

The report also showed that 30.1% of all videos removed worldwide contained sensitive or mature content, making it the leading cause for enforcement. Other common violations included privacy and security breaches (15.6%), safety and civility issues (11.5%), misinformation (45.5%), and the use of manipulated or AI-generated media (13.8%).
TikTok emphasized that its quarterly enforcement reports reflect its commitment to transparency and accountability. The company explained that these reports aim to provide users, regulators, and the public with clearer insight into how content moderation operates at scale and which types of violations are most frequently addressed.
