Director of Amélie in Paris dies during filming

(Web Desk): Diego Borella, assistant director of the popular Netflix series Amélie in Paris, died suddenly during filming.

According to Italian media, the incident occurred in Venice, Italy, where the recording of the show s fifth season was underway.

Diego Borella, 47, was preparing to shoot at the Hotel Danieli when he suddenly collapsed. Medical staff immediately reached her, but he died on the spot.

Paramount Television Studios, which produces the series for Netflix, confirmed the incident, saying, "It is with great sadness that we confirm the sudden death of a member of our production family. Our hearts are with the family and loved ones of the deceased at this difficult time."

According to reports, the shooting of the series was temporarily halted after the death of Diego Borella.

Filming for the fifth season of Amélie in Paris began in Venice on August 15 and was scheduled to wrap up on August 25, but it is reported that filming will resume after Borella s funeral.

It is pertinent to note that Amélie in Paris is a romantic comedy series that was first released in 2020 during the Corona pandemic. Its fifth season will be released by the end of this year
