Rana Aftab, aged 63, had also served as an excise officer and retired a few years ago. Despite his government service, he was widely known for his strong presence in acting, with a long career in dramas and films.
His popular dramas included Lal Aandhi, Laag, Rakhwala and Aik Mohabbat Aazmaish. He also earned praise for his performances in PTV Punjabi stories and often appeared as a judge or lawyer in films.
His notable films included Wahshi Gujjar, Miss Italy, Medium Charlie, Sheer Lahore and Qabza Group.
