Karachi (Web Desk): Musician Taha G has openly criticized Thursday’s Lux Style Awards for the performances at the event.

Sharing his thoughts on Instagram, he said award shows need to recognize “what an actual performer and performance is.”

He made it clear he had no hate for the winners or nominees. Still, he accused award shows of undermining “the best performer in the country every time.” Many fans believe he was referring to himself.

Taha also addressed the artists who performed on stage. He said he was “done with the same sad tunes and same four-chord afrobeat” repeated by many.

He urged his colleagues to “bring difference” and “spice” to their work. According to him, performances should make people dance and feel the energy live.

He was particularly critical of artists who pre-recorded their songs. He reminded them that they had “one job” to fight for their performances and their art. Taha called it a shame to see pre-recorded tracks on such a prestigious stage.

His statements have sparked discussions online, with fans supporting his call for genuine live performances. Many believe award shows should prioritize true talent and energy over easy setups. Taha G’s remarks may push artists and organizers to rethink how performances are delivered at major events.
