This year, Pakistan participated in the inaugural Eurasian Film Academy Awards held in Moscow, Russia.
The festival ran from 24 to 27 November and brought together films from 17 countries across Asia, Europe, Africa and Latin America. A total of 34 films were showcased during the event.
Pakistan represented itself with two films, “Love Guru” and “Demak”, marking a strong presence on the international stage.
The Pakistani delegation included officials from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting along with diplomats from the Embassy of Pakistan in Moscow, who attended the screenings and award ceremony.
Sonia Hussain’s win has been widely celebrated, as it highlights Pakistan’s rising influence in global cinema and the growing recognition of its artists.
