LAHORE (Web Desk): The tragic death of three-year-old Ibrahim in Karachi has shocked the nation, prompting a wave of outrage from celebrities over the city’s crumbling infrastructure.

The boy was swept away by a torrent of toxic sewage, and delayed rescue efforts fueled public anger.

Ibrahim’s body was recovered around 15 hours later, nearly two kilometers away from the manhole. The child’s death sparked widespread outrage, with citizens and celebrities demanding accountability for the preventable tragedy.

Actress Mahira Khan expressed her horror, calling the incident “unimaginable apathy” and questioned, “Who the hell is responsible for Karachi?”

Adnan Siddiqui blamed authorities for ignoring basic responsibilities, calling it “a simple, preventable act of negligence.” Ahsan Khan condemned municipal authorities, pointing out theft of manhole covers, poor monitoring, and lack of emergency response.

Sajal Ali also criticized the city’s crumbling infrastructure and said the parents’ wait for a miracle highlighted a “collapsed, failed system.”

Shaista Lodhi also mourns over the death of Ibrahim, saying each one of us is responsible for the death of the child, it’s a very sad day for Karachiites.

Other celebrities, including Ahsan Mohsin Ikram and Zhalay Sarhadi, called for accountability, labeling the incident “criminal negligence” and “avoidable.”
