Bollywood legendary star Dharmendra passed away this Monday in Mumbai at the age of 89. Condolences poured in from many Bollywood stars including Amitabh Bachan, Shahrukh Khan, Anushka Sharma, PM Narendra Modi and Twinkle Khanna.
Superstar Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra’s co-star in the iconic film Sholay, wrote that he had lost “a brother and a cherished friend,” adding that “his smile, his charm and his warmth, extending to all that came in his vicinity, a rarity in the profession.”

Indian film star Shahrukh Khan also paid tribute to legendary actor by sharing a picture of him with Dharmendra, with a caption as “You are immortal… and your soul will live through your films and your beautiful family forever. Love you always.”
Indian famous filmmaker Karan Johar said that the cinema has “lost its original superstar,” adding “Blessed to work with the legend” praising the timeless performance of the late actor.
