A few days back, she got an FIR registered against her husband for domestic violence.

She, along with her lawyer Asim Mumtaz, has now submitted an affidavit to a sessions court in Lahore about her reconciliation with her husband.

The court asked Ayesha Jahanzeb whether she came to the court of her own free will to which she replied she accepted whatever the elders decided.

She told the court she did not want to pursue the case and the decision was taken in the presence of witnesses.

On the occasion, the court pointed out that such cruelty should not be done to a woman, but due to the reconciliation, the matter has been approved to the extent of bail while the acquittal will be decided on the challan.

It is to be noted here that the Cantt court sent the accused Haris Ali to jail on judicial remand. A case was registered against him by Sarwar Road police.

Ayesha Jahanzeb had accused her husband of violence, but now the case has taken a new turn as the two have reconciled.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz had taken notice of the incident and sought an immediate report from the police.

She had also directed the authorities to provide the best medical facilities to Ayesha Jahanzeb and said violence against women would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
