According to police reports, two men on a motorcycle opened fire at Rajab Butt’s home in the Chuhang area late Wednesday night. Luckily, no one was inside at the time, so there were no injuries.
Police arrived quickly, collect the CCTV footage, and started an investigation. Based on preliminary evidence, police are now trying to identify and catch the attackers.
This attack comes during a time when Rajab Butt is already facing multiple controversies. In March 2025, he launched a perfume called “295”, named after a blasphemy law in Pakistan. Many people, including Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), were deeply offended. As a result, he faced legal action and major public backlash.
After that, Rajab apologized on social media while holding the Holy Quran and claiming he never intended to offend Muslims. He stopped marketing the scent as well. However, his problems did not end there. He later received a community service sentence for keeping a lion cub, which is prohibited under wildlife law.

In June 2025, a serious criminal case was filed against him and another YouTuber, Maan Dogar, by a woman who accused them of drugging, raping, and blackmailing her.
Then, just one day before the shooting, another legal complaint was filed in Lahore Sessions Court, accusing him of using offensive language against religion and society. The court has asked the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) to look into this matter.
Rajab Butt often faces criticism for his wedding vlogs, comedy-style videos, and bold opinions on religion and culture. Many people believe his content crosses the limits of social and religious respect.
