Prize bonds are a government-backed, interest-free investment scheme, offering Pakistanis a chance to win substantial cash prizes through regular draws while keeping their original investment secure. Rooted in Islamic financial principles, these bonds are viewed as a low-risk savings option and contribute significantly to the government’s financial system.

Besides providing investment opportunities, prize bonds also help promote financial inclusion by encouraging citizens to use formal banking channels and digital services. The entire scheme is jointly managed by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and the National Savings Organization (NSO).

•       First Prize: Rs. 1,500,000 (1 winner)
•      Second Prize: Rs. 500,000 each (3 winners)

In the previous draw held in July 2025, the first prize was claimed by bond number 953346, while the second prizes went to holders of 294897, 651248, and 965105.

Tax on Prize Bond Winnings

According to a new federal notification effective from July 2025, filers will face a 15% withholding tax on their winnings, while non-filers will be charged 30% on the same amount.
