Rupee stable against Dollar but jumps in Euro and Pound surprise traders

KARACHI (Web Desk): The Rupee stayed firm against the US Dollar as the market showed mixed signals, creating curiosity among traders about what may come next.

In interbank trading, the Rupee closed unchanged at Rs280.56 against the US Dollar. In the open market, the Forex Association of Pakistan reported the Dollar‘s buying rate at Rs281.45 and its selling rate at Rs281.6.

The Euro gained ground, rising by Rs1.53 to close at Rs324.80 compared to the earlier rate of Rs323.27, according to the State Bank of Pakistan. The Japanese Yen remained stable at Rs1.79 without any change.

Meanwhile, the British Pound posted an increase of Rs1.82, ending the day at Rs369.89 in contrast to the previous close of Rs368.07.

The Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal showed no movement and closed at Rs76.39 and Rs74.80 respectively, maintaining their previous levels.

The steady Rupee hints at controlled trading, but the rise in the Euro and Pound suggests shifting global trends. Small fluctuations like these often signal broader movements ahead. Traders are watching closely, expecting clearer direction in the coming days.
