Gold price soars to historic level in Pakistan, also silver joins the rally

KARACHI (Web Desk): Gold prices in Pakistan touched a new record high as 24-karat gold surged by Rs5,900 per tola, reaching Rs403,600 compared to the previous day’s Rs397,700.

The rate of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also climbed by Rs5,058, hitting Rs346,021 from Rs340,963. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold rose to Rs317,197 against Rs312,560, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

In the international market, gold registered a sharp increase of $59, jumping to $3,818 from $3,759.

Silver also followed the upward trend. Its price per tola increased by Rs88 to Rs4,792, while the rate for 10 grams moved up by Rs76 to Rs4,108. Globally, silver prices rose by $0.88 to $46.93 from $46.05.
