He noted that the country’s economy is stable now and progressing in the right direction.

Speaking to the media, he highlighted that the stock market has been showing positive trends, and all key economic indicators point toward growth.

“We are moving forward; foreign exchange reserves have increased. There must be continuity in policies for economic growth,” he remarked.

The minister also made it clear that speculative trading in the stock market would not be tolerated.

He confirmed that preparations for the next budget are underway and that the government plans to consult the business community before finalizing it.

Aurangzeb mentioned that reforms in the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) are ongoing, with the government focused on revamping the tax authority to encourage citizens to pay taxes voluntarily.

Acknowledging that the manufacturing sector and salaried individuals are feeling the burden of taxes, he stressed that every sector must contribute to the country’s economic development.

He also shared his recent visits to Saudi Arabia, Dubai, and the United States, noting that he did not encounter any disapproval of the current government among overseas Pakistanis.

He expressed optimism that remittances from overseas Pakistanis would reach around $35 billion this year, with investments in the Roshan Digital Account also on the rise.

In response to a question about the Pakistan-India cricket match, Aurangzeb expressed full support for the national team, saying he would pray for their success.
