The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has issued a notification declaring the increase in the power tariff under the monthly fuel cost adjustment for K-Electric customers.
According to the notification, additional charges will be collected from the electricity consumers between June and September 2024.
The K-Electric consumers will be charged Rs2.68 per unit in June, Rs3.11 paise per unit in July, Rs3.22 per unit in August, and Rs1 per unit in September.

The notification states that the increase will not be applicable to the K-Electric lifeline customers and the electric vehicle charging stations.

On June 6, Nepra increased the power tariff by Rs3.33 per unit under the monthly fuel cost adjustment for April.
Nepra also issued a notification announcing an increase in the electricity price and stated that power consumers will have to pay additional charges in June bills.
The notification also said the increase in power tariff will not be applicable to the K-electric consumers.
On June 1, Nepra approved an increase of Rs3.76 per unit in the price of electricity under quarterly tariff adjustments (QTA) for the third quarter of the current financial year.
The electricity price was increased for power consumers across the country, and a notification declaring the increase in power tariff was sent to the federal government for approval.
Power consumers will be charged Rs46.61 billion for the third quarter of the current financial year. According to the Nepra notification, electricity charges will be collected from power consumers, including the K-Electric customers, in June, July, and August.
According to the notification, power consumers will be charged Rs1.90 per unit in June and 93 paise per unit in both July and August.
