Israel has denounced the video as propaganda aimed at swaying public opinion.
The nearly four-minute clip, dated August 28, places Gilboa-Dalal in a car, passing by damaged structures including what he identifies as the Red Crescent headquarters, before reuniting with Ohel, whom he greets in disbelief: “I can’t believe I’m seeing you.”

Al-Qassam Brigades (Hamas) released the video of Israeli hostage Guy Gilboa-Dalal.

Gilboa-Dalal, speaking under what appears to be duress, states he has been held captive for 22 months and fears for his life due to the upcoming offensive. “This is all we want, we just want it to end. We want to return to our families. Please bring us back,” he pleads. He also warns that at least eight other hostages are in Gaza City and will die if the assault proceeds.
The video coincides with the 700th day since the October 2023 music festival abductions, during which Hamas seized 251 Israeli civilians, of whom 48 remain captive and only 20 are thought to still be alive.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dismissed the footage as “cruel propaganda” and reaffirmed that Israel will not halt its military campaign until all hostages are released and Hamas is disarmed.

In response, immediate negotiations have been urged by the Hostages and Missing Families Forum, and they have criticized the government for military plans that would endanger captives in Gaza City, where their precise locations remain unknown.
