961,000 Hajj pilgrims arrive in the Holy Land of Saudi Arabia

(Web Desk): The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah says that as of Saturday, 26th of Dhul-Qa’dah, the number of Hajj pilgrims arriving from abroad has reached 961,903.

According to a reports by the Saudi media, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah says that the largest number of pilgrims came by air, numbering 912,598. The number of pilgrims arriving via sea routes remained at 4,277, while 45,028 pilgrims reached the Holy Land via land routes.

According to the ministry, all of this has been done under an integrated system that is being monitored by experts from government, security, and service providers. The Passport Department has reiterated its commitment to utilizing all capabilities to facilitate the entry procedures for pilgrims by air, land, and sea routes.

On the other hand, after the expansion of the Grand Mosque, 107,000 pilgrims will now be able to circumambulate the Kaaba in one hour during the Hajj period this year.

According to Arab media, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has taken all measures to facilitate Hajj pilgrims during this year s Hajj season. After increasing the capacity of the Grand Mosque in Mecca, 107,000 pilgrims will be able to circumambulate the Kaaba simultaneously in one hour during the Hajj season.

The administration has also designated the main and secondary gates of the Grand Mosque leading directly to the Mataf courtyard, so that pilgrims do not face any difficulty and can reach the Mataf directly.

The Haramain Affairs Authority has also formulated a comprehensive strategy to control congestion, especially during the Hajj period. Crowd-controlling units will act according to the prescribed plan.

To control congestion in the Grand Mosque, separate routes have been designated for traffic in the Grand Mosque, with the aim of keeping the routes of those entering and exiting the Grand Mosque free for traffic.
