According to Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, this was the third Israeli F-16 aircraft targeted during recent military actions in the Iran Israel war, which Iran says proves another successful F-16 jet shut down.
Iranian officials said the operation shows the strength of their defense system and effective air surveillance.
However, the Israeli military has rejected the claims immediately. It stated that none of its fighter jets were damaged and all aircraft safely completed their missions and returned to homeland, denying any F-16 jet shut down during the Iran-Israel war.
Reports suggest that the Iran continues to respond strongly to any enemy attack in the ongoing US-Iran war. Iranian officials have said that that they are fully capable of responding any aggression against them and also claimed to take more actions lie shutting down of F-16 fighter jet if needed.
Earlier, Israel admitted that one of its jets came under anti-aircraft fire in Iranian airspace, but said it was not damaged and completed its mission as planned, rejecting claims of any F-16 jet shut down.

Iran has also accused the United States and Israel of targeting civilian boats and passenger aircraft in the Gulf, calling such actions dangerous and provocative during the Iran Israel war. Officials warned of a strong response if such incidents happen again.
A previous report by Bloomberg claimed that at least 16 US aircraft, including Reaper drones, have been destroyed since the conflict began. However, these claims have not been independently verified, making the Iran Israel war situation more uncertain despite repeated claims of F-16 jet shut down.
