Scooter service launched at Prophet’s (PBUH) Mosque to provide quick assistance to worshippers
MADINAH: (Web Desk) To provide quick medical assistance to visitors during the holy month of Ramazan, a new emergency scooter service has been launched at the Prophet’s (PBUH) Mosque.

According to Arab media reports, the service was launched by the Madinah Health Cluster at the Prophet’s Mosque. The aim of the initiative is to enable paramedics to provide quick medical assistance to visitors during Ramazan.

According to a report issued by Saudi Press Agency (SPA), as the mosque’s courtyards are packed with thousands of worshippers, the medical teams face difficulties moving through the crowds to provide medical assistance. However, the scooters will make it easier for them to “navigate busy areas, attend to urgent cases, and transfer patients to nearby hospitals and care centers if needed,” the report said.

Ninety-one people have already benefited from the service since its launch, the SPA said in the report. All of them were referred to healthcare facilities in the central area, including Al-Shifa Health Endowment, Haram Emergency Hospital, and the Safiyyah and Bab Jibreel Urgent Care Centers.

The new initiative “reflects the Madina Health Cluster’s efforts toward visitors’ safety and wellbeing,” the SPA said.
