The unending bloodletting by the “criminal and fascist occupation” has resulted in around 50,000 deaths, if you include those buried under the rubble, the office said in a statement.

About 84,000 others have also been injured and over two million people rendered displaced as a result of the military campaign, it added.
The regime unleashed the war on October 7 last year in response to the Al-Aqsa Storm, a retaliatory operation staged by Gaza’s resistance movements.
Concomitantly with the war, the regime has been enforcing a near-total siege on Gaza, which has reduced the flow of foodstuffs, medicine, electricity, and water into the Palestinian territory into a trickle.
Palestine says a significant number of casualties caused by Israel in Gaza, as well as in the West Bank and East al-Quds, were either students or young children in nurseries.
The GMO added, “Our Palestinian people are also suffering from an escalation of the starvation war, a rapid deterioration of the humanitarian disaster, and the emergence of symptoms of famine in the Gaza Strip.”
“The use of starvation, thirst, and the denial of medical care as a weapon by the oppressive Zionist occupation during this barbaric aggression is a confirmed and compounded war crime,” it noted.
The media office called on international media outlets and activists to highlight the humanitarian disaster and urged global and humanitarian organizations to urgently provide Gazans with their direly-needed food and humanitarian aid.
“The international community, the United Nations, and its institutions have to intervene immediately to force the fascist occupation to stop its brutal aggression against unarmed civilians, innocent children, and defenseless women” and ensure “regular and unobstructed entry of aid and relief materials to all areas of the Gaza Strip,” the GMO concluded.
