During a recent press conference Trump revealed that Hamas is likely to accept the proposed ceasefire and hostage exchange deal. “We’ll see what happens. We’re going to know over the next 24 hours,” he stated.
It is pertinent to note that the renewed ceasefire proposal, put forward by Qatar earlier this week, has already been accepted by Israel on Tuesday. Hamas, meanwhile, has stated that it will issue a decision after consulting with other Palestinian factions, though no specific timeline has been given.
“I hope, for the good of the Middle East, that Hamas takes this Deal, because it will not get better — IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE,” Trump posted on Truth Social, while also thanking Qatar and Egypt for facilitating the diplomatic effort.

Additionally, during a Friday White House briefing Trump has once again made bold claims about his administration s performance, contrasting it with what he called the “darkest chapter” in U.S. history — the war in Afghanistan. He also applauded recent U.S. military operations and hailed the country s economic growth and border security under his leadership.
Speaking to reporters, Trump said, “Going into Afghanistan was the darkest day in our history. Billions of dollars were wasted, and we got nothing in return.” He also emphasized that under his leadership, the U.S. Air Force successfully carried out targeted operations, including a recent mission striking Iranian installations with precision. “We showcased the full strength of American power using the B-2 bomber,” he added.
Trump highlighted that NATO member countries have significantly increased their defense spending, from 2% to 5% of GDP, a move he claims was a direct result of his negotiations. “No U.S. President before me was able to get NATO countries to commit to higher defense budgets,” he stated.
One of Trump s major talking points was the passage of the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill”, which he described as the greatest tax cut legislation in U.S. history. He claimed it was “unlike any bill ever passed” and that it would save the U.S. economy $1.7 trillion.
On the economic front, Trump declared the U.S. stock market has reached record-high levels, attributing it to his policies. “We have created the most jobs in American history,” he said. “America is a beautiful country, and I am proud of everything we achieved.”
Trump also praised U.S. troops and officers, offering them a “salute of honor” and assuring the public that “our borders are more secure than ever before.” In a jab at the Biden administration, he claimed that 21 million immigrants entered the U.S. during Biden’s tenure, while under his recent leadership, “not a single illegal immigrant” crossed the border.
