MANCHESTER: (Web Desk) A disturbing video of British police, beating a British-Pakistani boy at Manchester Airport, has sparked outrage on social media.

In the widely shared video, a police officer can be seen pointing his gun at the boy and kicking his face and head while he is lying on the ground.

The police officer then points his gun at another man and knocks him to the ground.

Former Crown Chief Prosecutor Nazir Afzal wrote on X that there was no justification for the police officer’s actions. He demanded that action be taken against him.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) say they are aware of concerns over the conduct of the police officer in the video and that the Directorate of Professional Standards is investigating the matter.

The police spokesperson said the incident took place when the police were called after a brawl at Manchester Airport’s Terminal 2.

He added since the officers were armed, there was a risk that their weapons would have been taken away from them during the brawl.

The Officer for Police Conduct said he is aware of the said video and has contacted the GMP for an inquiry in this regard.
