
Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat made this announcement stating that exams will be conducted by the Punjab Examination Commission for Assessment (PECA), with a comprehensive action plan to be finalized in the next month.
The minister also announced that a new transparent assessment system will be implemented for students of Grades 5 to 7.
This was announced at a meeting of the Board of Governors of PECA, which was presided over by the education minister in Lahore. The meeting involved deliberation on several proposals intended to enhance educational quality and ensure transparency in all respects.

One of the proposals was to translate Matric Tech textbooks for Grades 9 and 11 into video form, so that students could learn more easily and enjoyably.
Further, the education minister tasked the creation of a strong internal evaluation system within a month to reasonably gauge the performance of both students and teachers.
Education officials say these reforms aim to improve academic standards and ensure accurate, reasonable assessments in Punjab s education system.
