(Web Desk): Turkey has confirmed that a second Turkish-flagged ship has successfully crossed the Strait of Hormuz, a key and sensitive maritime route in the region.

Transport Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu said that two ships belonging to Turkish owners have now passed through the strategic waterway. He noted that several other vessels were waiting earlier to make the crossing.

According to him, 15 Turkish-owned ships were waiting on February 28 to pass through the strait. Out of these, two ships managed to complete the journey.

The minister explained that the movement of these ships was possible due to coordinated efforts and the nature of their routes, including the use of Iranian ports or cargo connected to Iran.

He did not specify the exact date when the second ship crossed the strait. However, reports suggest that the first vessel passed through on March 13 with permission from Iranian authorities.

The two ships identified are named Rozana and Neraki, as reported by CNN Turk.

The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the most important global shipping routes, and any movement through it is closely monitored due to ongoing regional tensions and security concerns.
